These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of this site and the free Fundamentals of Classical Guitar course provided by Powis Studios Llc, trading as Classical Guitar Corner (“we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account or using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

The service

We provide a free online course, Fundamentals of Classical Guitar, together with a member account that gives you access to the lessons and downloadable materials. The course is offered at no cost. We may add to, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it at any time, and we do not guarantee that it will always be available.

Your account

  • You must provide accurate information when you sign up, and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity that happens under your account.
  • Accounts are for a single individual. Please do not share your login with others.
  • The course is intended for adults. By creating an account you confirm you are at least 18 years old.

Acceptable use

You may use the course for your own personal, non-commercial learning. You agree not to:

  • Share, sell, or transfer your account or your access to the course;
  • Copy, record, republish, distribute, or publicly post the lessons, videos, audio, or other materials;
  • Attempt to scrape, download (except where we provide a download), reverse engineer, or interfere with the site or its security;
  • Use the site unlawfully, or in a way that harms us, other members, or the service.

Course materials and intellectual property

All content in the course, including the videos, written lessons, audio and backing tracks, and the notation and TAB provided as downloadable PDFs, is owned by or licensed to Classical Guitar Corner and is protected by copyright and other laws. We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use this content for your own learning.

The downloadable scores are provided for your personal practice. You may print them for your own use, but you may not distribute, share, sell, upload, or post them anywhere. The Classical Guitar Corner name and logo are our trademarks and may not be used without our permission.

Relationship to CGC Academy

This free course is separate from our paid membership, CGC Academy, which has its own terms, pricing, and content. Access to the free course does not give you access to the Academy.

No guarantee of results

The course is provided to help you learn and make progress on the classical guitar. We do not promise that you will reach any particular level of skill or achieve any specific result, as that depends on many factors, including your own practice.

Third-party links and services

The site may link to or rely on third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those third parties.

Disclaimer of warranties

The site and course are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, about the site, the course, or their availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Classical Guitar Corner will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the site or the course. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the course if you breach these Terms or misuse the service. You may stop using the course at any time and ask us to delete your account.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and any disputes will be subject to the courts located there.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. By continuing to use the site after changes take effect, you agree to the updated Terms.
